ABOUT OUR CHOIR
Adelaide City Singers is an inclusive, community choir supported by the Rotary Club of Adelaide. Whether you are a novice singer or have a professional background, all voices are welcome to join!
With a repertoire that encompasses jazz, classical, musical theatre, contemporary, and folk genres, there is something for everyone. We also welcome fresh ideas and suggestions from our choir members.
Our choir is proudly affiliated with the Rotary Club of Adelaide through Choir Director and Rotary Club Member, Jyoti Singh, and we regularly perform at Rotary Events.
Adelaide City Singers rehearse weekly during school terms at U City Adelaide, on Franklin Street.

JYOTI SINGH
Jyoti Singh is a professional singer, performer & voice teacher. Jyoti studied vocal jazz at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, Belgium, and graduated cum laude as a Master in Music and Vocal Teacher in 2010.
As a member of the Rotary Club of Adelaide, Jyoti founded the Adelaide City Singers as a way of giving back to the community with her musical expertise and passion. Jyoti volunteers her time to the Adelaide City Singers to serve the community through music, build friendships, share joy, and create uplifting musical moments.
Jyoti is a mum to two young girls and teaches singing at a primary school and privately in her home studio. With a deep musical understanding, Jyoti is skilled at bringing out the best in the choir and coaching singers in a way that is easily understood.
JOINING THE CHOIR
Adelaide City Singers is run entirely by volunteers. Our admin team consists of:
Anne McIntosh, Booking Enquiries and Performance Management
Carly Lukacs, Communications and Choir Administration
Louise Whitlow, Finance and Accounts Manager

All of our choir fees go towards printing scores, music licensing, and insurance. Choir fees are intentionally kept as low as possible to keep the choir accessible! If you would like to discuss payment plans, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Our choir sings in four-part harmony: Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass (SATB), and we welcome singers from all sections!

Adelaide City Singers choir fees are charged per term and payment is required prior to the first rehearsal for the term. Choir fees are paid up front to cover music licenses, insurance, and printing scores.
Jyoti and the choir admin team generously volunteer their time to help keep running costs as low as possible.
Current fees are $70/term and are subject to change due to licensing, insurance, or printing changes.

Keen to come and see what we are all about? You are welcome to come along for a trial session at any stage to meet the choir, get a feel for the music and structure of our rehearsals and experience singing in a group setting.
There is no pressure to continue with the choir after this trial (although most singers are very happy to join!!).
If you wish to continue, fees will be charged for the remaining weeks in that term.

You don’t need to bring a lot to a choir session! You will be provided with all the printed music scores for our repertoire and will only need to bring the following:
Black music folder
Pencil and highlighter for annotating your scores
Water bottle
Your fabulous voice and enthusiasm!
Each choir session has a 10 minute break for a cup of tea and some light nibbles.
